How does an organization grow in healthy ways?
There are all kinds of answers to this question, but one of the most crucial elements is organizational alignment. It’s shocking how few leaders understand alignment, and know how to incorporate it.
Misalignment may be the most common ROOT cause of stagnation or out-of-control growth in organizations. There is often no shared (compelling) vision, and no alignment to that shared vision within most organizations. Is the organization positioned accordingly? Are the hiring practices, leadership, growth strategies, and processes all aligned?
It is so rare for organizations to be well-aligned that if I ever see one in the wild I take note!
All of this isn’t a “nice to have” – it’s absolutely crucial to healthy growth. The core purpose (the “why”), and the core processes absolutely must get out of the founder’s head and live deeply in the fabric of the culture in order for any organization to grow in a flourishing way.

Scaling Up by Verne Harnish is similar to EOS but more complex to implement and manage. It can be used for organizations of any size, but lends well towards larger organizations.
As an EOS implementer, I have developed an alignment pathway that builds on the principles of EOS/Traction and is even more robust and effective in the area of core identity / market positioning / flywheel building.
